Sara Becker, PhD: Using Digital Health to Increase Access to Effective Treatment for Youth with Substance Use Disorders

Sara Becker, PhD, is the Alice Hamilton Professor of Psychiatry and Inaugural Director of the Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science at the Northwestern Medical School. She conducts programmatic research designed to bridge the gap between public health knowledge (what we know) and public health practice (what we do). In 2021, Dr. Becker was honored to be the first implementation scientist to receive a Method to Extend Research in Time (MERIT) award, which provides up to 10 years of stable funding support, from the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
