Meet the Panelists!

Jessica Jackson, Ph.D.

Dr. Jessica Jackson is an award-winning licensed psychologist and mental health equity advocate. She is the founder of Therapy Is For Everyone Psychological & Consultation Services, PLLC, a Houston, TX based mental health practice providing expert care and mental health start-up advisory services. Dr. Jackson is also the co-founder of the non-profit Communicating Race Fully, focused on teaching youth and their caregivers how to have conversations about race and racism. Her research has focused on reducing barriers to treatment for underserved populations. She is a regular media contributor and serves as an elected member of the American Psychological Association Board for the Advancement of Psychology in the Public Interest, Vice Chair of Therapist in Tech and Chair of the APA Mental Health Technology Advisory Committee.

David Cooper, PsyD

David Cooper, PsyD. is a digital health expert who is currently Director of Mental Health Product Strategy at Teladoc. He has worked with organizations like the US Department of Defense, the AMA and FDA, and top US hospitals on their digital health strategies and portfolios. With a background in clinical psychology, David has led the development, management, and implementation of digital health solutions, focusing on strategic business planning, and new business development. In the past he has launched a global mental health product for Teladoc, developed strategic partnerships for Xealth, and managed a $2.5 million portfolio of mobile applications for the Defense Health Agency.

Tali Ball, Ph.D.

Dr. Tali Ball is a scientist and clinical psychologist, with particular expertise in digital therapeutics, anxiety and trauma, and statistics. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the San Diego State University / University of California San Diego Joint Doctoral Program, and was a Principal Investigator in the Stanford Department of Psychiatry and Brain Sciences, where she led a federally-funded research team focused on translating neuroscience insights to improve understanding and treatment of anxiety disorders. She is currently Senior Manager of Clinical Research at Big Health, leading a pipeline of sponsored, investigator-initiated, and internally-run research on digital therapeutics, as well as the Interim Clinical Development Lead. Her interest and experience are in designing and executing research across the product lifecycle – from identifying new possibilities for product development, to formal validation and clinical trials.

Cynthia Castro Sweet, Ph.D.

Cynthia Castro Sweet, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist and Behavioral Medicine Specialist. She transitioned from NIH-funded academic clinical research to the digital health industry in 2015 and has worked at Omada Health, Modern Health and now Hinge Health. She directs clinical and health economic research teams to generate evidence of the value of digital health programs
