About the Artificial Intelligence (AI) SIG

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly playing a role in how people access mental health support. This includes both accessing AI-mediated mental health support through general purpose chatbots, or via the integration of AI-based approaches in digital mental health applications and technologies. As a result, researchers, practitioners, and clinicians from the research field of digital mental health have a core role to play in applying their experience towards the development, evaluation, and safety monitoring of digital mental tools for this new modality of technology-mediated support.

To address this area of interest, the Society for Digital Mental Health is forming a Special Interest Group (SIG) on Generative AI and Mental Health Support. If you are interested in becoming a member, please access this form: https://forms.gle/hX8UKszPC3wUK2CK6.
